The Karl Amadeus Hartmann Society collects and archives material by and about Hartmann, supports the academic indexing of his work as well as his biography and provides performers, scholars and interested parties with archival material Not only are scientific papers and publications supervised and published, but new ways of teaching are also being explored, for example through advanced training for music teachers, cooperations with universities and schools, and lively educational projects that challenge the creativity of students.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, the Karl Amadeus Hartmann Society also sees itself as a source of inspiration for national and international performances and as an interface and connecting link between the management levels of the orchestras\/festivals and the performers. It appears both as organizer and co-organizer of concerts, lectures, symposia and exhibitions, nationally and internationally. Especially the international festival “Karl-Amadeus-Hartmann-Jahr 2013” (seasons 2012\/13 and 2013\/14) \u2013 for which Andreas H\u00e9rm Baumgartner was responsible as Artistic Director \u2013 attracted a great deal of attention. During this anniversary year (50th obit), the festival, which honored the most important German-speaking symphonist of the 20th century and founder of the musica viva concert series of the Bavarian Radio, succeeded in giving new impulses to the examination of the composer’s oeuvre with over 160 concerts, exhibitions, panel discussions and symposia worldwide.
