The hartmannforum scientific conference will be held in the premises of the Karl Amadeus Hartmann Society/Hartmann Centre in Franz-Joseph-Str. 20 80801 Munich. The overarching theme is Karl Amadeus Hartmann’s Concerto funebre for solo violin and string orchestra (1939/rev. new version 1959). In addition to introductory thoughts by Andreas Hérm Baumgartner (Director of the Hartmann Centre) and a keynote speech by Prof. Dr Wolfgang Rathert (LMU Munich), the symposium will include two contributions. A music-historical and a music-analytical lecture on the Concerto funebre are therefore being organised. The presentation should last 45 to a maximum of 60 minutes.
The call for applications is specifically aimed at people who have already obtained a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Music degree in musicology or music studies and were born after 27 November 1994. All information on the hartmannforum can also be found in the announcement below.
