To whom it may concern:
This is to introduce the brothers HARTMANN, Karl and Adolf, prominent artists of Munich, who in the past year have demonstrated an international frame of minde and who, almost more than any others, have encouraged those Americans who have cultural missions in Europe. It is my hope, that in the future the HARTMANNS will receive continued support from all those interested in a bigger world and those fighting the dangerous bigotry of ‚provinciality‘. They have brains and character, which, als Walter Lippman once said, is far more than mere personal honesty and good intentions.
